Surrendering an Animal

Before you consider permanently giving up your animal, WMCH volunteers are trained to help you work through any problem you might be having with him or her, from allergies to litterbox training to destructive behavior, and even working through any guilt you may be feeling about whether or not she's been getting enough attention when you've been busy.

Our rescue is composed of a network of foster families in the Grand Rapids area of Michigan. We have no main facility. We can only take in animals when we have space available in our foster homes. This often means that we will not be able to assist you immediately. We appreciate your patience and consideration as we work to accommodate all of the animals in need.

At this time, we are currently full with a waitlist. If you are seeking to surrender an animal into our care, please contact us

Please note: All surrenders are done in public, neutral locations for safety. WMCH volunteers will not pick animals up from private locations such as homes or drive outside of West Michigan to meet for relinquishments.
